Message from the Board President Pete Ochocki

I want to thank everyone for their help in 2016 in everything they did for our Post and our Veteran families; going forward in 2017 I hope that we receive continued support from all our members and their families as well as our guests and community.

Our Bar tenders and employees deserve a lot of credit in helping promote our Post for the past year they have put in many long hard hours on the clock and have also volunteered many hours in making improvements to the Post. I hope that our members take the time to thank them for everything they do to keep our Post running.

From the Board President

I have to apologize to all our members for not getting out our last issue of our newsletter.

As most of you are aware we lost one of our board members, Don Keefe he has been on the board for many years and has served as our ABC officer. Since his passing we had to renew our liquor license and appoint a new ABC officer.

From the Board

In recent months our Post has had a series of unexpected breakdowns with our aging building and equipment.

I’m sure we all would want to see our Legion preserve its history and continue to serve our Veteran’s and their Families as well as the community. We do need your financial help. Any donation would be greatly appreciated. We thank you for your consideration.

Message from Board President Pete Ochocki

I appreciate everyone’s support in electing me as your New Board President!
Our new board of directors has hit the ground running and we have a lot of challenges ahead of us! But I’m very pleased that we are all working together well. You will start seeing some positive changes around the Post.

Board President Dave Lange

This year we have (2) director positions coming due on the board. Director terms are a period of 3 years. Persons who have served Lakewood Memorial Post 1286, as a past commander, present commander or a vice commander, or officer, of at least one year’s service may serve as member of the Board of Directors.

In the event that no person is eligible under provision of present By-Laws Sec. 1: (a), the present Board of Directors will pick a candidate and will approve by a majority Vote of at least two-thirds of members of the Board.
